At our faith-based school, athletics is about more than competition. Students develop their skills while building character and confidence. They learn to work as a team, persevere through challenges, and compete with good sportsmanship. Most importantly, they learn to use their God-given abilities to honor God and serve others.

Meet Our Athletic Director

Welcome to Eastside Athletics!

I’m excited to welcome your family to the Eastside Lutheran athletic community. Athletics is about so much more than wins and losses. It’s a place where students learn how to work together, overcome challenges, and encourage their teammates.

Our goal is to create an environment where every student-athlete feels supported and has the opportunity to grow. We want our athletes to compete with effort and enthusiasm while showing Christ-like character on the court, field, and track.

Whether your child is trying a sport for the first time or has been competing for years, I hope they’ll find a team where they can build friendships and create memories that last well beyond their time at Eastside.

Our Athletic Philosophy

  • Athletics at Eastside Lutheran School are designed to help students grow in their God-given abilities while learning valuable lessons through meaningful competition. Every season is an opportunity to build skills, confidence, teamwork, perseverance, and Christian character.

  • The B team focuses on learning and development. Through active participation in practices and games, students build fundamental athletic skills while gaining valuable game experience. Our goal is for every B team athlete to have meaningful opportunities to participate throughout the season.

  • As students continue to develop their abilities, they have the opportunity to compete at a higher level on the A team when eligible. Because the A team emphasizes competitive play, coaches determine playing time based on what they believe is best for the team and each game situation.

  • Each year, the Athletic Director reviews student interest and participation to determine which teams can be offered and which grade levels will make up each roster. Our goal is to provide as many opportunities as possible for students to participate in athletics.

  • Winning is important, but how we compete matters even more. We expect our athletes, coaches, and spectators to represent Christ through sportsmanship, respect, humility, and encouragement. By competing with integrity and treating others with kindness, we strive to honor God both on and off the field.

The Eastside Eagles are members of the Badgerland Lutheran Athletic Conference (BLAC). A list of contact information for each school can be found school addresses and contact information. Maps can be found at the BLAC website.
