General Information

  • Eastside Lutheran School offers Christian education from preschool through eighth grade.

  • Yes. Eastside Lutheran is a Christ-centered school operated by Eastside Lutheran Church. God’s Word is at the heart of our school, and students have daily opportunities to grow in their faith and learn about their Savior, Jesus.

  • Eastside Lutheran is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). Our school and church follow the teachings of WELS and are committed to sharing the good news of Jesus through worship, education, and service.

  • We believe education is about developing the whole child. Alongside a strong academic foundation, we nurture students in faith, Christian character, relationships, and the development of their God-given gifts.

  • Eastside provides a comprehensive curriculum that includes religion, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, physical education, and other areas of learning.

Enrollment & Admissions

  • We begin with a tour so your family can visit our school in Madison, meet our staff, and learn more about Eastside. From there, families complete an application, participate in a student assessment and family meeting, and receive an enrollment decision.

  • Absolutely! We encourage families to schedule a tour before applying. A visit is a great way to experience Eastside’s Christ-centered community firsthand.

  • We encourage families to begin the admissions process as early as possible. Availability can vary by grade, so contacting the school early is the best way to learn about openings and the enrollment timeline.

  • X - Not Sure

  • Yes. Eastside offers several ways to help Madison families with the cost of Christian education, including tuition assistance and Scrip. Qualifying families may also be eligible for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program.

  • No. Families do not need to be members of Eastside Lutheran Church to inquire about or attend the school. Tuition rates vary based on church membership and family status.

Daily Operations

  • Each day at Eastside provides a balance of academic learning, faith development, social interaction, and opportunities for students to grow in their God-given abilities. Students learn through classroom instruction and hands-on experiences.

  • Students study God’s Word, participate in Bible study and catechism, learn and sing hymns, memorize Scripture, pray together, and gather for chapel.

  • Yes. Students gather regularly for chapel to worship, pray, and hear God's Word together.

  • Yes. Chapel is an important part of life at Eastside. Students gather together to hear God’s Word, sing praises, pray, and grow in their faith as a school community.

  • Eastside Lutheran School is a ministry of Eastside Lutheran Church and is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). WELS is a national association of Christian congregations committed to teaching the Bible as God's true and unchanging Word and sharing the message of Jesus Christ's love and salvation.
