What inspired you to become a teacher, and what do you love most about your role at Eastside?

I have always loved learning and reading, and one of my greatest joys as a teacher is sharing that love with my students. I hope to encourage students to become curious, confident, lifelong learners. Teaching at Eastside is a blessing because I have the opportunity to share God’s Word and God’s love with my students each day while supporting their learning and development.

How does your faith influence your work at Eastside?

My love for my Savior influences the way I care for and teach my students. I see each child as one of Jesus’ precious lambs, dearly loved by Him. It is a joy and privilege to share Bible stories with my students and help them learn more about Jesus’ love, forgiveness, and promises.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of school?

I am an avid reader and make time to read for enjoyment every day. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. We especially like hiking together and have recently started playing pickleball. I also enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.

What is a fun fact about you that students may not know?

I love Christmas so much that I listen to Christmas music all year round!

What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?

Romans 8:28 is one of my favorite Bible verses because it reminds me that, no matter what situation I am facing, God is always working for my good. Even in difficult times, I can trust that He has a good plan for my life and that His love never fails.
