What inspired you to become a teacher, and what do you love most about your role at Eastside?

It is a such a joy to be able to teach children about our Savior, Jesus, and watch them grow in their faith and love for him. It is also a blessing to be able to "sing and make music with our hearts to the Lord, giving thanks for everything to God the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ." (Ephesians 5:19-20)

How does your faith influence your work at Eastside?

God loves me and has made me his dear child through Jesus' saving work of redemption. I am so thankful to get to tell of his love to others. "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9)

What are your hobbies or interests outside of school?

I enjoy reading, walking, baking, and touring historical sites.

What is a fun fact about you that students may not know?

I am terrified of glitter.

What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?

One of my favorite Bible verses is John 14:27. It was my Confirmation verse, and I find such comfort in God's promises. "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, and do not let it be afraid."
